Heather Mulligan Begley is a candidate for Circuit Court Judge in Cook County. She is open-minded, intelligent, and fair. Her calm demeanor is well-suited for the courtroom.
Heather is married and the mother of two daughters. She is an attorney who currently focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, primarily medical malpractice defense. Heather spent many years as a personal injury attorney, giving her the unique perspective of having successfully tried medical malpractice and personal injury cases on behalf of both the plaintiff and the defendant.
Heather grew up in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood and attended Queen of Martyrs Grammar School and Mother McAuley High School. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She attended night school at DePaul University College of Law. Heather has been a practicing attorney since 2003.
Heather resides in Palos Heights where she is an active member of the community and volunteers at her daughters’ schools.
Heather was named one of the “40 Under Forty Illinois Attorneys to Watch” by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company in 2010. Heather has received other awards in the legal industry.
