Incumbent Judge Brandon Birmingham has earned a reputation for being fair, hard-working and humble, with a proven track record of making impartial, informed and well-reasoned decisions. He was selected by his peers to serve as the Presiding Judge of all Criminal District Courts in Dallas County, and was the highest rated felony judge in the 2017 and 2019 Dallas Bar Association Judicial Poll. Judge Birmingham created “AIM Court,” a youthful offenders program uniquely designed to end mass incarceration. He is an accredited lecturer, adjunct professor of law and is a former member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. This will be his third term.
