We are Gallagher for Justice, the committee to support the election of
Judge Carolyn J. Gallagher to the Illinois Appellate Court.
We think Carolyn may be
more qualified for the Appellate Court
than any candidate in recent memory!
As a judicial law clerk for Appellate Court Justice Helen F. McGillicuddy,
Carolyn drafted dozens of Appellate Court opinions.
As a Law Professor at DePaul University College of Law, she
taught Legal Research and Writing
and Appellate Law
to hundreds of law students.
As an appellate and trial lawyer for more than 30 years,
Carolyn represented clients in the Illinois Appellate Court and
the United States Court of Appeals.
For more than 30 years, she demonstrated a
solid commitment to the citizens of Cook County
by volunteering at the Second Chance Expungement Summit,
offering free consultation to mortgage foreclosure defendants
through the Chicago Bar Foundation Help Desk, and
providing pro bono legal representation through the Chicago Legal Clinic.
As an attorney, Carolyn was esteemed for her
strong legal ability
and
respectful, professional demeanor.
As a Circuit Court Judge, she is valued for her
independence, compassion, and fairness.
Following an extensive investigation of her 38-year legal career,
the Chicago Bar Association deemed Carolyn
"HIGHLY QUALIFIED"
for the Appellate Court.
The citizens of Cook County deserve to have
Judge Carolyn Gallagher
on the Illinois Appellate Court.
