Chris Taliaferro has worn many hats throughout his career, but all have been in service to the
public. A former marine sergeant, a 23-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department where
he also achieved the rank of sergeant, and in 2015 he was elected Alderman of the storied 29th Ward. He currently serves as the Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and is a member of the Progressive Caucus. Additionally, Chris has been a trial attorney for the past fourteen years. His background in the courtroom and in the Chicago City Council will serve him well on the bench.
