New York City is at a Crossroads.
The coming election will determine the City’s fate — not just for now, but for future generations. The question is: Who is the mayor for this moment? Who has the experience, the track record of accomplishments, and the capability to tackle the tough problems facing the City?
There is only one answer to the question – Andrew Cuomo – and Fix The City is committed to seeing him elected to City Hall. Andrew Cuomo is the mayor for this moment. A mayor who will fight for all New Yorkers.
Fix the City, Inc., is an independent expenditure committee (IE) organized under New York law. Under the current election structure in New York City, mayoral campaigns that accept public funding are limited in terms of the contributions they may accept and limited in how much the campaign may spend. Accordingly, IEs have come to play an important role in citywide elections. Although IEs cannot coordinate their activities with a candidate or a campaign, they are permitted by law to support the election of a particular candidate and work to bring about the candidate’s success on Election Day.
Fix the City has declared its intention of supporting Andrew M. Cuomo for mayor and will work throughout this campaign to secure his election.
