A Working Mom with a Fresh Perspective
I am running for Arlington Heights Village Board because I believe that if you have a vision for your community, you must actively work to shape it. My husband and I moved here in 2008, bought our first home here, and started our family here. For me, it's not enough to know I live in a wonderful Village, I want to be part of what helps it grow as a community.

I am a working mom of two kids under 10, and I represent a large part of our community that may not always be heard - households with kids in school, two working parents, and a desire to take advantage of all Arlington Heights has to offer. The current makeup of our board doesn't give the full picture of the residents here, and I would like to change that. I would like to give voice to those who may not know how to approach their local government, or may feel that the government is not for them.

Running this race will not be easy. We are a large village of nearly 80,000 residents. We will need yard signs, mailings, and walk cards. We will need social media, meet and greets, and volunteers. But first and foremost, we will need funding.

I hope that people will donate to this campaign because they believe that every Village Board has room for improvement, that we need more women in government, and that government should represent its residents. And I hope that people will vote for me for the same reasons.

A copy of our report filed with the State Board of Elections is (or will be) available on the Board’s official website (www.elections.il.gov) or for purchase from the State Board of Elections, Springfield, Illinois, as required by law.
