I am running for judge because I believe judges are the gatekeepers of having fair, impartial courts, and I have witnessed that personally, first as an assistant corporation counsel, prosecuting landlords who wouldn’t fix unsafe buildings for tenants, and later as an employment lawyer defending the City in state and federal court.
Many of our fellow citizens' most meaningful interaction with the government is through our courts. When I owned a law firm in East Rogers Park, I helped people keep their homes, see their children and fix work situations where employers treated them unfairly. In those experiences, I saw how a good judge can inspire faith in our justice system and I will be that kind of judge.
