My name is William Garcia and I am running for Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. I currently serve as Chair of the 3rd CD Democratics, Co-Chair of La Crosse County Democratic Party and Secretary/Treasurer of the DPW Latino Caucus.
I am running because county parties are not receiving the support they need to grow and connect with voters. As chair, I will ensure county parties are empowered to make decisions about organizing and messaging that works for their area. The top down approach is not working, and we need to diversify how we reach out to voters.
My platform is Grow, Persist, Resist.
Grow: I will grow county parties and other organizations like county chapters of the Young Democrats of America. I will ensure every county party has the resources they need to grow and strengthen.
Persist: We will continue doing the things that DPW does very well. A strong fundraising machine, keeping the national media focus on Wisconsin, and working hand in hand with the Governor, ADCC and SDCC to deliver effective voter outreach everywhere in Wisconsin.
Resist: I will be the loudest voice in Wisconsin against the Trump Agenda and Republican policies that are hurting Wisconsin families.
